Biographical Information and Resumé

Roy is a graduate of graphic design from The Cooper Union, New York
City. For the past 26 years he has worked at Young & Rubicam New
York, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Manager Print
Technology. Prior to working at Y&R, Roy held positions at other
ad agencies including Ted Bates, Inc., J Walter Thompson and BBDO.
He has guest lectured at RIT, Syracuse University, The School Of
Visual Arts and The Consortium of Digital Distribution for Newspaper
Advertising of Japan, in Tokyo. For the past 15 years he has taught
Production Procedure in the undergraduate program at Parsons School
of Design in New York City.
He is the past President and Chairman of the Board of the Type
Directors Club of New York and past President and Chairman of the
Board of the Advertising Production Club of New York.He is presently
serving as Vice Chairman of the Digital Distribution of Advertising
for Publications Association (DDAP), is Vice Chairman and a member
of the board of directors of the Specifications for Web Offset Publications
(SWOP), is the President of the Digital Delivery Corporation (DDC),
is Co-Chair of the General Requirements for Applications in Commercial
Offset Lithography (GRACOL), and is a member of the Graphic Arts
Advisory Commission for the City University of New York.
He has won numerous graphics awards over the years and his design
work has been displayed worldwide, appearing in Graphis and PRINT
magazines. Roy's involvement in digital advertising technology was
featured as the cover story in the March 1999 issue of Publishing
& Production magazine. He is a member of the Xerox Executive Advisory
Forum and authored a featured article about national and international
standards for digital ads in the spring 2000 Xerox DocuWorld magazine.
